About
Why this site exists
I run the junior section at a golf club, where I organise and support sessions for young players.
I’ve completed ASQ Level 1 Golf Coaching and I’m currently working towards Level 2.
Most of what I do involves beginners and developing juniors. Over time, I’ve seen clear patterns in what helps them improve, and what tends to slow them down.
This site is where I document those observations in a simple, practical way, so parents and young players can better understand how improvement actually happens.
What this is based on
Real junior group sessions
Beginners and developing players
Weekly practice environments
What builds confidence over time
What actually leads to better contact
What tends to be overcomplicated early
Approach
How juniors actually improve
Everything on this site is based around a simple progression of how juniors learn the game.
Not technical instruction, but what tends to work in real sessions over time.
Getting started
Building confidence, making contact, and keeping things simple early on.
Practice
Short, repeatable sessions that build consistency and improve contact.
Playing
Gradually introducing the course and learning how the game works in practice.
Clarity
What this site is, and what it isn’t
This site is not a coaching business, and it doesn’t replace a PGA professional or your local golf club.
It’s not technical instruction, and it doesn’t focus on swing positions or detailed mechanics.
It is a practical, experience-based guide built from running real junior sessions, aimed at helping parents support a child starting golf.
Not a coaching business: No lessons are sold here.
Not a club website: This is independent of any golf club.
Not technical instruction: The focus is on what works early, not swing theory.
